We finished two new songs during the last week.
Another one is half-finished.
And we had a children's choir in the studio which
sung a chorus.

More progress...
Hey folks!
Meanwhile Victor Smolski from RAGE was in our studio and recorded some songs.
After Victor has finished his work, Jen Majura lend her voice for a song.
They spend a whole day in the studio. Thank you both!

I would also like to refer to some radio plays which were relased in February and March and where we contributed to.
Dreamland Action 2 - Reverend Pain
For this episode we contributed two songs from our first album.
Tony Ballard 7 - Die Rückkehr der Bestie
In this radio play I got a small speaking part, together with Martin Kesici, Hennes Bender and Purple Schulz.

...
With dismay I received on Thursday the message, that my
dear and long-timed friend "Ralf Schmidt" (Rushme) deceased
on 14th February 2010!
It was like a bolt from the blue and I can't still believe it :(
We've played since the mid-90s in different projects and stayed
in close touch.
There was also a song collaboration planned for my new CD.
He wrote constantly about me in his blog and it's getting me
down that all that things are lost and I won't see him again.
Ralf became only 34 years old and lost his life during a two week struggle against a sudden disease.
There's a song on the new Der Bote album and I would like to dedicate this song to him.
Until the day of his funeral, you'll find that song on MySpace.
I express my condolences to his family!
REST IN PEACE - I won't forget you!

Hi folks!
I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a successful start into
the new year! The new year will be also the year of Der Bote.
That gives us the reason to present you the new studio material.
Daniel Behrmann recorded rhythm guitar tracks for the new songs.
By the way, here's a short dialogue from the studio:
Frank:
I just want that it sounds authentic!
Otherwise I could sample the guitars though.
And I could spare the trouble with you two morons.

New recordings
Hi there!
The guitar recordings with Daniel Behrmann are still work in progress.
We reserved also this weekend to try out several takes, effects and guitar sounds. During December you can find some new photos and videos.
By the way: You can listen to a new demo snippet of the new song "Rosen" (Roses) on MySpace.

Der Bote speaks...
Hi folks!
As many of you know, I'm a huge fan of radio plays.
Since several years I've got a good contact to the radio play label "Dreamland".
After some small guest parts with my voice, Frank and I also composed a title theme for a new series. The new project is labeled as: Dreamland - Action 1. The new series will bear the name "Agent Smith" and is based on the popular series from the 80s.
On November 6th the new episodes will be released and I'm very proud to be involved in this project with music and speech.
During January 2010 there will be another series, where songs from our album "Kalt!" will be present. The series will bear the name: Dreamland - Action 2 - Zeit der Finsternis (Era Of Darkness) / Reverend Pain. In the following year there's another series, where I also lend my voice.
At this point I really would like to thank Thomas Birker and his staff!

Drum recordings finished!
Hi folks!
Finally I got some time to report something about the recordings with Ralf Gustke.
The recordings took place on Wednesday the 9th September 2009 around 1 pm.
First we installed all the equipment and made a soundcheck - after that we were ready to start...
The first day ended around 10:30 pm and we finished 5 songs.
On Thursday we started at 11:00 am - we had a very strict time schedule.
Ralf recorded 6 more songs and around 9 pm we already enjoyed our leisure-time with a dinner :)
On Friday there was only one last song to record.
We finished everything around 2 pm.
After this Ralf and I drove on to Lauenbrück, where we took
photos for the new CD booklet.
Now it's time to say a big "THANK YOU!" to Ralf Gustke who recorded
really awesome drum tracks!!!
I'm looking forward to the final cut and the first audio snippets.
Another big "thank you" to Uwe Wendt, who was responsible for mixer assistance and also
helped out Frank with his work.
You can find in the category "studio" several pictures and a short AVI from the recordings.

One step closer...
Today we had a meeting with Daniel Behrmann who's gonna record all rhythm guitar parts for the new CD.
We clarified the last open questions regarding the new songs and we also discussed the last date agreements.
We expect the guitar sessions around November 20th.

The last demo
Hi folks!
Frank and I finished the last demo recordings yesterday night!!!
We are very happy that we can check this first big to-do-task off.
 Now we are looking forward to September 9th - the beginning of the final CD production.
From September 9th to 11th we lock up in Frank's Studio-4-Stade to record the drums for 10 or 11 tracks.
We also clarified the last details with Ralf Gustke via telephon call.

Let's get ready...
Hi folks!
I'm very happy to announce that we'll start the recordings
for our second album during middle of September!
If things will go
smoothly we will start with
the drum recordings.
I can now officially reveal that
Ralf Gustke (Xavier Naidoo / Söhne Mannheims)
is going to play the drums for the complete album.
Ralf has already played drums for three songs
on our first album and I am very glad we got him
back aboard.
I will report back to you, if there are new
informations about the recordings!

Der Bote and Ben Stiller?
Hi there!
Here's another sign of life from us...
Frank and I are still in the middle of the preproduction and
we're recording the last demos. Our progress is dragging on
because between our meetings are sometimes two months.
It's not clear in the moment if all existent songs will get on the
new CD.
In the moment we finsihed 6 complete songs + intro and outro as demo.
4 songs are still left and are ready to get vocal recordings.
In the end we will decide which songs will get on the new CD.
Our present scheduling indicates that we will do the final album
recordings during fall/winter 2009.
Recently I fulfilled another big dream of mine!
One of our songs is about a stalker.
We needed a newscaster who's reading a text for this song.
I already had an idea who should do this from the get-go.
And yesterday the dream became true!
One of the best and most popular German dubbing artists has done
this task!
His name is "Oliver Rohrbeck" - and all who are not into radio plays
should know him as the German
voice of "Ben Stiller" and many other movies.
I really would like to thank Oliver and in the first instance my
friend Thomas Birker!!!
We will announce here new informations as soon as possible.

Hi folks!
As you already noticed we work intensively on our new CD.
In the moment I am busy to record vocals for the demos.
The new CD will be probably bear the name "Morgenwelt"!
As soon as all demos are recorded, we will start the production.
Needless to say that Frank will play bass on all songs.
My friend "Phil Kamp" from Münster will contribute the keyboard parts
for one song. The rhythm guitar will be played by Daniel Behrmann from
"Feuerengel". For the lead guitar we got Victor Smolski back on board.
For the drums we are still in negotiation with somebody :)

Hi folks!
Long time no see - but that doesn't mean we were deedless...
From time to time Frank and I meet up to record new demos.
We established a small homestudio at Frank's house to record our demos
unhurriedly.
Unfortunately, we can't tell you right now, when we are going to the
studio to record a new CD.
But it's for sure that the new album will have 11 tracks.
We can't tell for 100% sure which guest musicians we got for the new
recordings, but it's virtually official :)
You can find the song "...und es regnet" as a live video, which I
performed with my band "Feuerengel" on 22nd December 2009 in Schwerin
on our Myspace site.

On 3rd and 4th October, Boris will give two concerts with his Rammstein
Cover Band "Feuerengel" in the Matrix, Bochum.
On October 3rd, Victor
Smolski is going to present together with Boris a song from the album
"KALT!". On Octover 4th, another song from the album will be presented
live.
